Best Episode Movie Ever.
D'oh in Surround Sound.
A laugh riot. That's the Simpsons movie. I didn't go 20 seconds without a laugh. Maybe there's something wrong with me I don't know. But the movie was good good good. There was a cut somewhere, but you can't really tell. Some parts from the trailer itself are missing from the movie though but they also could've changed the script at the last minute and not use the scenes as seen in the trailer. But the good parts are intact ("Bart's doodle"). I love what Green Day did with the Theme Song.
It's true. It's like a 87 minute Simpsons episode with added 2D CGI effects. But I don't care! Just...just be a fan and watch the movie or reluctantly watch the movie if you're not much of a fan.

If I get my butt down to writing a review (92% of me wants to do so), I'll update this entry,
Review's done. I got it right here.

Meanwhile, we, the class in Fundamentals of Digitial Photography shot stuff at Orchard in the late morning. YAWN. I slept at 2am after the movie. Not very cool. Bunch of friends got a cab and went to Wheelock Place as one. Caught the lecturer on the other end of the building. Got attendance and dispersed. Brought our cameras to the forbidden zone, a.k.a. Takashimaya Ngee Ann City. Caught. Ouch. But we shot what we wanted. Meh!

Not the Best Article Ever.
Why you need a die-hard Simpsons fan working with the Press, or a good proof-reader.
Ooh. Simpsons Movie Article on the Life! (entertainment) papers. Nice. Fact sheet on page 5.
Ugh. I was then appalled and sorta insulted. I'm not the craziest Simpsons fan, but I'm just gonna voice this out for no reason whatsoever. I still like the local press.

First off, they overused the so-called Simpsons font (fussy me).
They got much information wrong.
  • Under "Homer Simpson": He almost put The Frying Dutchman out of business in the episode All You Can Eat Night. There's no episode by that name. That episode is "New Kid on the Block". I also don't think he scored his job at the Nuclear Power Plant by passing a "specialised training course".
  • Under "Bart Simpson": "Don't have a cow," and "man!" are not two separate catchphrases. Looks like a typo, since there is a comma at the end of "Don't have a cow,".
  • The Voice actors section is also riddled with a couple of mistakes.
    - Hans (Moleman) isn't a friend of Grampa.
    - Grampa has a name: Abraham J. Simpson
    - Bumblebee Man's picture is confused with the Fly-Bart from Treehouse of Horror VIII.
    - Scratchy's Picture is actually Snowball II.
    - Patty and Selma is misspelled "Patty and Selam".

  • They must have had some bad "Internet Sources". I'll be watching the Movie this Friday. Yay.

    Deathly Hallows Unboxing.
    Hopeless Optimism: #82 Released.

See this and More on the Hopeless Optimism Page.

    0831hrs:Yeo's Residence. Undisclosed Location.
They said delivery starts at 0701hrs. They just so damn efficient. Doorbell rang at 8.30 this morning. It had to ring again before I could wake up, remember why the doorbell would be ringing, and then realise the urgency of answering the door before throwing myself off the bed and went to answer it (No one else was home or half-awake during that time).

The delivery guy apologised (as did I) and handed over my pre-ordered, hand-delivered copy of Potter 7, a.k.a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which came in a nice collector's box. I would have started on to read it but, a) I was really sluggish-tired and b) I could wait a while more to lug myself through 6XX pages.

Woke up officially at 0924hrs to watch crazy fans all over the world cheering over their copy of the book on the news. Meh. I didn't see the point of waiting in line at 0701 in the morning. I should be reading the book soon, but I won't reveal anything about it. I'll just let everyone else do it.

    Like sand in an hourglass...
Ah yes, another gone in a flash, once in a life time moment.
I barely noticed. Not many others did. Fewer cared. NEXT!

    Potter!
All the Potter, without whiny Childrens.
Buncha friends and I made a crazy plan to catch the premiere of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" at Tampines Mall at 1210 today. Almost missed it when I ran a fever yesterday. But screw that! I got fine and went anyway. The Plus of watching it at 1210 in the 'noon was the fact that movie experience spoilers are cooped up in school, leaving us with no squeals or "eeyer" the moment Harry and Cho locked lips (which was almost, but not quite).
The movie threw out many pages from the book. The Dudley incident was conveniently summarised. Not all bad. There were changes from the previous movie (mainly the way Sirius's head appeared in the fire [for the last time]). I don't remember Umbridge's decrees going up to 119, though.

(Of course I didn't etch "I must not tell lies" on my hand. Nutters.)

    Sevens.
The Earth Lives to Die Another Day.
DSC00887.JPGI got lazy and upgraded my whiteboard calendar to magnet-style action. I did notice the days of any day of the week remain consistent (1, 8, 15, 22) leaving 29, 30 and 31 as variables. Bah, but the picture says it all.

I'm reading Potter 5 again. Skimming through the pages. So I can spoil the movie for everyone. Nah. Just Kidding. Maybe.

And today is the moment of the century. Seven of Seven. Year Seven. Live Earth. But Will the Fat Cats buy it?
