Confession: Strip Ideas
One major issue with doing Hopeless Optimism is that I can really run out of ideas. Which causes the dry seasons of no-strip-ness. Sure, I can draw the guys standing around looking at each other, but what fun is that gonna be? Another thing is the constant way I do my strips. I don't have the time and I just plain don't want to sketch out and plan my strips. All the errors and planning goes directly onto Photoshop. And that how, most of the time, I find out a bad idea. An idea that just doesn't work (these strips get saved anyway and will go into my secret pages).

In a great spur of the moment, I can get up to four ideas in one go. Most of which come from events in my life and/or from the shower (eww). I still draw out inspiration from my array of comic books (see FAQs), those are still pretty good. The little planning that the ideas have goes on paper as words to remind me what I want the strip to look like before I etch them in strip form as soon as I can.

We're over 75 strips and counting. I still look back at #01 to laugh at how crummy it looks now.

That's all I've got. Go See my Strips, Know the Guys, Ask my FAQs or Email Me. It's all here. Enjoy!
