Haruhi in the Palm of your Hand.
I'll have to thank my sister here, for scoring this from Japan. I've always wanted one of these. It's a figma Haruhi Suzumiya action figurine. It's fully posable! And the paint job is swell. It includes 3 facial expressions, 11 hands, 2 shoes and a million poses limited only by my imagination.
I'm not really otaku'd over Haruhi. In fact I only saw 5 episodes of the anime. I just liked the dance and the character design. For real. Best. Figurine. Ever.
Update: I've gone over. I have over 60 photos now. 21 are on a Picasa album

"Fighting Love, Science Legend!"
Existence: 6775 daysIt's anime fascination time again! I lost track of the original Powerpuff Girls after their losing Cartoon Network on cable and tried following the series before I knew that it was cancelled. My fad with them, ended as well. A loss, while creator Craig McCracken soon went on with creating "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends". It was only recently that I heard about Japan doing a Powerpuff Girls Anime and it's just last Friday when I threw away my scepticism and started watching it.
They didn't just move the characters to Tokyo and made then speak Japanese. "Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z" (出ましたっ! パワパフ ガールズ Z) is an entirely new story with a familiar touch to it. The anime is very much different from the US counterpart. For one, it's an ANIME. So it includes all the Japanese humour and the kawaii anime styles. Most of the original characters are back, but they look totally different. The background story is different, the Powerpuff Girls were normal 13-year-olds struck by a white light. They are not related (just that they attend the same middle school) and were not created by Professor Utonium himself. Chemical X has been replaced by the more potent Chemical Z, which was used to transform the girls into superpowered heroines. Oh, yes! They are just normal girls with secret identities until they transform (which is repetitive but rather fun to watch).
To me, dubbing Japanese anime is a taboo. So I'm hoping it doesn't get tainted with an English dub. In the mean time, it's still a good show!! Weird, but yes! It's anime!

Gacha Gacha!

(; ´Д`) Japanese Emoticon Figurine and NSMB Merchandise
I'm a fan of Yujin Capsule Machines, where cash becomes a strange figurine or some merchandise in a capsule form. We went nuts at Vivocity's Mega Capsule Experience at the Toys R Us. Scored a strange Japanese Emoticon Figurine that sits on your keyboard (as shown above) and lots of New Super Mario Bros merchandise, including a Goomba stress squeezy, a NSMB DS stylus and a mini NSMB Game Card Folder that stores 3 Game Cards. So I'll be leaving my Smint box aside for now.
It's a Goomba!!

Have a Mario Christmas!

I got a Super Mario Bros. Dot-S thingy (The other stuff in this photo are gifts I got some time back. DS has NewSMB playing). It's that thing from Japan where you fill in lots of small square pins to form sprites from the game.
Shown is the Completed product not featured on the instruction manual. I had trouble starting off I was gonna make a Brick Block next to a "?" Block but I ran out of Brown Pins. So I halved them and made what you see here.I got the photoset of the construction process. I dropped 9 pins (then picked them up, of course) and made 2 mistakes, forcing me to start that area all over, taking the pins out is hard. My thumb hurts.
I took 3.5 hours to complete this, mistakes, Goomba and all.

Shut up! Tom Hanks isn't Dead!
Tom Hanks has "Died". Now, before going back to my "Steve Irwin" depression again, this is caught bogus. False Rumours abound as some wisecrack puts up a report that actor Tom Hanks "fell 60 feet to his Death while filming a movie in New Zealand early on November 16, 2006 at 4:30 am". WRONG! Viktor Navorski is alive and well (I don't know about how well he is but he is definitely alive).
Oh yes, yes. You'll notice the new blog recolouring and the totally helpless chibi character there. I'm into the art of drawing chibi, now that the examinations of EXTREME importance has come and past. If "Cris-kun" isn't cute, he sure does look strange. Enjoy the rest.
